The organization started its first hostel at Lonand taluka, Khandala district, Satara in the year 1991 under the residential hostel scheme run for the backward class boys of class V to XII under the social welfare department of the government of Maharashtra.After that, with the permission of the government, the hostel was shifted to Padegaon taluka, Khandala district, Satara in 1995. Backward Class Boy's Hostel Branch No. 2 Padegaon Tal. Khandala Dist. Satara. The approved number of Hosteller students is 60 out of which 60% SC, 15% ST, Deprived Castes Nomadic Tribes 23% ,Special Backward Classes 4.5% and Economically Backward 2.5% caste wise students are admitted.

In Backward Class Boy's Hostel Branch No. 2, Students are provided with bedding, cot mattress, pillows, satranji sheets / blankets, food utensils, plates, bowls, educational materials, textbooks, books, pens, strips, pencils, sharpeners, compass bags, etc. Students are provided with two school uniforms as well as haircuts, oil, soap, toothpaste, first aid, entertainment and sports equipment. Alternative electrical systems, CCTV etc. for security. Pure drinking water of RO is provided.

The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Proficiency Award given by the Department of Social Justice, Government of Maharashtra has been received in the year 2003-04 by Backward Class Boy’s Hostel Branch No. 2.

Backward Class Boy’s Hostel Branch No. 2 has five staff members including a superintendent, two cooks, a helper and a watchman.
