Mangalya Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha Pune 28 has started Samata Primary Ashram School at Lonand since 1981 with the approval of Directorate of Social Welfare and now other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra. In the year 1989, Samata Primary Ashram School was shifted to Padegaon by providing open space and buildings at Padegaon Taluka Khandala District Satara. At present Samata Primary Ashram School has classes from Class I to Class IV. The number of resident students in the Primary Ashram School is 70. Residential and non-resident students are admitted in the Samata Primary Ashram School. Four teachers are working for the primary school department and for the hostel department four non-teaching staff i.e. A Superintendent, a Cook, Maid-Servent and a Worker(Kamathi) are working.

A separate and well equipped building is available for Samata Primary Ashram School and dormitory. Along with education, students are provided  Scholarships. The institute organizes Sports competitions and other activities for the holistic development of the students. Separate classrooms are available for Ashram School. Samata Primary Ashram School Dormitory Department Students are provided accommodation, bedding, cushions, pillows, satranji sheets, blankets, food utensils, plates, bowls, educational materials i.e. textbooks, notebooks, pens, scales, pencils, erasers, sharpners, backpacks, etc. Students are provided with two school uniforms as well as haircuts, oil, soap, toothpaste, first aid, entertainment and sports equipment. Alternative electrical systems. CCTV is available for extra security etc.  RO's pure drinking water is provided.

In the year 2003-04, out of all the Ashram schools in Maharashtra under the Other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department, Samata Primary Ashram School has been awarded by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Proficiency Award,(First Prize).
